The Water Pipe Trail is one of several trails that intersects with the Barr Trail. This trail also connects to Trail 706 (making a loop back to Barr Trail).

It is used mostly by locals to create loop trails around Barr Trail and typically does not get high volumes of traffic.

Water Pipe Trail is included on POCKET PALS Trail Map # 5 (in the Pikes Peak Region 14 map series).  The other trails included on Trail Map #5 are Barr Trail, Bob's Road, Long's Ranch Road, Trail 329, Trail 638, Trail 671, Trail 703, Trail 706 and Ute Pass.
