Don't Leave Home Without It
Like all Pocket Pals maps, it's well made and easy to use. Big enough to be easy to read, small enough to never be a burden or hard to handle in the field. The landmark descriptions are very helpful towards quickly locating yourself. Includes many lesser-used trails that some other maps do not, but not social trails. Offers sufficient topographic detail to navigate off-trail with a compass and altimeter. Much better than trying to piece together the trails in this region from incomplete online maps, to say nothing of being much easier to read in the field than a cell phone screen.
A Great Find!
So glad I found out about these trail maps. A perfect size for out on the trails and they contain lots of detailed information that can't be found on other maps.
Pocket Pals Trail Maps
I have purchased Trail maps 1 - 14. I find these maps to be accurate. I use them frequently. The size of them is perfect whether I put them in my jacket, fannie pack or camelbak. The protective coating keeps them nice as they folded and unfolded. I would recommend these maps for someone interested in hiking different trails.
Great things in small packages
These are great maps and so full of information. It beats carrying larger maps that can be awkward to read while hiking. A great product.
This afternoon my wife and I were hiking and found trails that were not on the pocket pal maps. But overall without the maps, we would had to rely on our GPS but no trail identification. So glad we had them but need updates.
I just did a lovely hike using Pocket Pals #5 and what a great map!
I totally love knowing the exact mileage and it really helped me when I got confused at the intersection of French Creek and North Fork French Creek in Hurricane Canyon area. The trail seemed to disappear at that creek crossing but I knew I wasn't going down French, so I scrambled across and pretty soon found the trail again, following N. Fork, just as the map said to do! And I totally love how lightweight the maps are. The fall colors were awesome. You have found a great niche here and a quality product! Thanks
