Cherry Creek State Park is a Colorado state park encompassing about 4,000 acres of land located in Aurora (southeast Denver metro area).

A scenic oasis in the Denver area, this park provides visitor's with stunning views of the city and the front range mountains and offers a wide variety of water and land-related recreation all anchored around an 850 surface acre reservoir.

A natural prairie landscape of gentle, rolling hills surrounds the Cherry Creek Reservoir which makes it a popular place for hiking, equestrian riding and biking. There are over 35 miles of multi-use trails at this park. The lake offers an ideal location for many types of water sports. Cherry Creek Reservoir is open to boating, jet skiing, paddle boarding, and fishing. It is also a great area to view birds and wildlife. This park is also home to a large off-leash dog park open to the public for an extra fee, featuring over one hundred acres and a stream for the dogs to play in. During the summer months visitors can cool off in the reservoir's designated swimming area. In addition there are outdoor recreational facilities including camping, group picnic sites and facilities for special events, all in the midst of a busy urban area. The Cherry Creek Marina can make a sailor, wind-surfer or water-skier out of the eager-to-learn with lessons and rentals. Boater will find additional conveniences, such as slip rentals and fuel.
