POCKET PALS TRAIL MAPS - Small Pocket Maps, Big Outdoor Adventures!

The Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a 789-acre city park located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is situated on the west side of the city, just off of U.S. Route 24 between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs The park consists of a series of parallel ridges (called "hogbacks") and eroded canyons, a continuation of the same sandstone rocks that make up the "Garden of the Gods" a few miles to the north. The Red Rocks Canyon Open Space trail network is a beautiful urban open space that takes advantage of great views and interesting geologic features. The park contains 24 trails of varying difficulty that wind through and around the rock formations, and is popular with hikers, joggers, and mountain bikers. The open space trails also connect to the Intemann trail and to the Section 16 / Red Rock Loop trail.

Technical rock climbing is allowed by permit only. Obtain a permit at the Garden of the Gods Visitor's Center.

The Red Rock Open Space trail network is on POCKET PALS Trail Maps #4 of the Pikes Peak Region series. The other trails on this map include Bear Creek Regional Park (11 Trails), Ring the Peak, Intemann, Palmer, Parallel, Red Mountain, and Red Rock Loop / Section 16, and Stephanie's.
