Mt. Evans is the closest of Colorado's Fourteeners to Denver.  Mt. Evans is in the Front Range. 

This Fourteener was named in honor of John Evans, second governor of the Colorado Territory from 1862 to 1865.

Mt. Evans is at an elevation of 14,264 feet.
