Blodgett Open Space - Trail Information: Photos, Videos, Reviews, Maps
Blodgett Open Space, located in northwest Colorado Springs, was once part of the historic Blodgett Ranch.
Today, the open space protects a diverse foothills landscape featuring rocky ridgelines, forested slopes, open meadows, varied plant communities, distinctive geological formations, and habitat for numerous wildlife species.
There is no officially maintained trail to the summit of Blodgett Peak. The route is extremely steep, rugged, difficult to follow, and potentially dangerous, and it is not recommended for the general public. However, the open space also contains 12 established trails rated easy to moderate, offering more suitable options for casual hikers, families, trail runners, mountain bikers, and visitors seeking shorter outings with scenic views of Colorado Springs and the surrounding foothills.
This trail is on POCKET PALS Trail Map #10 of the Pikes Peak Region Series. The other trails included on this trail map are Blodgett Peak, Foothills (South), Garden of the Gods Park (22 trails), Lone Pine Saddle, Ormes (Devil's Kitchen), Queens Canyon, and Trail 302a.
