Stratton Open Space offers 318 acres of open space, trails, and wildlife habitat on the west side of  Colorado Springs, Colorado

Next to North Cheyenne Canon Park, the Stratton Open Space offers five distinct ecosystems including ponderosa pine forest, scrub oak brush land, high meadow grassland, cattail marshes and a riparian area.  There are two reservoirs in this open space. The area contains a wide variety of wildlife and wildflowers. There are many miles of trails ranging from easy to difficult some of which access the Pike National Forest.  There are trails for everyone, including hiking-only trails for those wishing to avoid cyclists.  One of the region’s most popular mountain biking only trails, the Chutes, is in Stratton Open Space.
