Stratton Open Space offers 318 acres of open space, trails, and wildlife habitat for Colorado Springs.

Next, to North Cheyenne Canon Park, the Stratton Open Space offers five distinct ecosystems including ponderosa pine forest, scrub oak brush land, high meadow grassland, cattail marshes and a riparian area.  The area contains a wide variety of wildlife and wildflowers. There are eight miles of trails ranging from easy to difficult some of which access the Pike National Forest.  There are trails for everyone, including hiking-only trails for those wishing to avoid cyclists.  One of the region’s most popular mountain biking trails, the Chutes, is in Stratton Open Space.
