Gray Back Peak - Trail Information

Gray Back Peak is a visually prominent peak on the east side of Emerald Valley, just southwest of Cheyenne Mountain in the Pike National Forest.

A nice climb through a shady evergreen forest which is great on those warm summer days.  At the summit there are excellent views of the surrounding mountains (Mt. Vigil, Sugarloaf, Cheyenne Mtn.) Emerald Valley and Fort Carson.

This trail is on POCKET PALS Trail Map #1 in the Pikes Peak Region Series. The other trails included on this map are: Devil's Slide, Emerald Valley Pipeline, Knights Meadow, MacNeill, Mt. Vigil, Ridge, San Luis Peak, St. Peter's Dome, and Sugarloaf Mtn.
