MacNeill Trail Information - Pikes Peak Region - Colorado
The MacNeill Trail starts out on Old Stage Road and leads up the back (west) side of Cheyenne Mountain to its shoulder, just short of The Horns. Great views of Colorado Springs and the eastern plains reward those who reach the top.
This is a beautiful trail, that does not get high levels of traffic, and once at the shoulder of Cheyenne Mountain the views are fantastic.
The MacNeil Trail is located in the Pike National Forest, except near the very top where the Broadmoor's Cloud Camp is (which is on private property). Watch for private property signs and turn around when you see them (do not trespass). The Horns are no longer accesssible from this trail.
