Mt. Herman Trail Information: Photos, Videos, Reviews, Maps

The Mount Herman Trail climbs through the forested foothills of the Rampart Range just west of Monument, Colorado. The route features a steady, sometimes steep ascent through pine and aspen forest before reaching more open terrain with expansive views of Monument, the Palmer Divide, and the surrounding Front Range.

Its rugged mountain setting and connections to nearby trails make the area well-suited for both a summit hike and longer backcountry adventures.

This trail map is especially useful for hikers and trail runners seeking a moderately challenging mountain route, as well as mountain bikers and equestrians exploring the broader Mount Herman trail network. Snowshoers may also find the map helpful during suitable winter conditions. Because the area contains numerous intersecting trails and forest roads, carrying a detailed map can make route-finding and trip planning much easier.
