Swank Trail in Rampart Range Wildlands, near Monument, Colorado

Located northwest of Monument, the Swank Trail travels through the forested foothills of the Rampart Range. The trail connects the Palmer Lake Reservoir trail system with the Sydney Harrison Trail, allowing visitors to create longer hikes, trail runs, mountain-bike rides, and backcountry loops through the surrounding area.

The southern portion of the trail lies in El Paso County, while the northern portion extends into Douglas County. Along the way, users can enjoy a quieter mountain setting characterized by pine forest, intermittent drainages, rolling terrain, and access to several nearby trails.

Because the Swank Trail is part of a larger network with numerous intersections and connecting routes, a detailed map is especially useful for identifying junctions, selecting the desired route, and avoiding an unintended detour. This map will be most beneficial to hikers, trail runners, mountain bikers, and other experienced trail users who want to explore beyond the heavily traveled Palmer Lake Reservoir Trail or combine several trails into a longer adventure.
