The Ring the Peak (RTP) trail is a collection of trails (and some Forest Service roads) that circumnavigate the 14,115-foot Pikes Peak (America's Mountain).
Pikes Peak is America's Mountain. Named for Lt. Zebulon Pike — who never actually reached the peak — and the inspiration for Katharine Lee Bates' iconic American anthem, "America the Beautiful". Pikes Peak is an American icon whose 14,115-foot summit challenges and inspires visitors from around the globe.
The Ring the Peak (RTP) trail is a collection of trails (and some Forest Service roads) that circumnavigate Pikes Peak. This trail will contain approximately 63 miles of trails circling the flanks of Pikes Peak. As of Fall 2022, the RTP trail is about 80% complete. There are 9 portals that are access points along the RTP trail. There will eventually be 10 segments (trail sections between the portals) 8 of which are currently completed. Each segment is between 3-8 miles long.
This bundle contains 6 trail maps and an Overview Map which includes detailed information about the RTP trail in addition to the many other trails that either intersect with the RTP trail or are in the vicinity of the RTP trail.
